This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Welcome! We are glad you found us. Our congregation is a growing, vital, and fun place to be. With roots deep in religious liberalism, we gather to explore the "big questions" and encourage one another’s spiritual journeys. Our programs and events support people as they grow in curiosity, in spirit, and in community. We believe each person has a unique gift to offer the world, and that by meeting together as an open-hearted community, we can nurture and celebrate those gifts. We welcome young and old, families and singles, all the colors and cultures of the human race, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight people. You are truly welcome at South Valley! Sunday Services We hold services every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. at 6876 S. Highland Drive (2000 East), just south of the I-215 interchange. Our minister is Rev. Sean Parker Dennison. Children and adults gather together for the first part of each service. About twenty minutes into the service, children three and up move to their classes in our religious education program. Children of all ages are always welcome to stay upstairs. We also have a nursery for our youngest friends. We’re proud to be a "come as you are" congregation. Feel free to wear your Sunday best, shorts and sandals, or anything in between. Be comfortable! We Need Not Think Alike to Love Alike
Like most Unitarian Universalist congregations, South Valley UU Society is a spiritually diverse community. Our members identify themselves as Jewish, Humanist, Taoist, Christian, Pagan, Atheist, Deist, Monotheist, Agnostic, and "none of the above." In general, though, we believe that there is no single religious truth and that life is a spiritual journey best experienced with others. We hope you will join us on the quest! From our Sunday service: You are welcome here. No matter your age, your size, the color of your eyes, your hair, your skin, You are welcome here. No matter whom you love, or how you speak, or whatever your abilities, You are welcome here. Whether you come with laughter in your heart or tears, You are welcome here. If you come here with an open mind, a loving heart, and willing hands, You are welcome here. |
