About Us

We are a small, welcoming community of religious explorers located in South Salt Lake Valley, Utah, in the shadow of Mt. Olympus, just west of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. Founded in 1983, South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society is one of Utah’s six UU congregations, and the second oldest in the state.

Our self-owned, solar-powered building is located in the community of Cottonwood Heights, about 14 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City. In addition to Sunday morning services, we provide a comprehensive Religious Exploration program for all ages, child care during services, potlucks and social hours, and opportunities to volunteer in the local community and the wider world.
