Our minister

Reverend Karen Madrone

Our interim minister, Rev. Karen Madrone, joined us on August 1, 2019. Rev. Karen completed a Master of Divinity degree at Union Theological Seminary in New York. She also holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and she earned a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan College. Her past ministries include internships at First Unitarian Congregational Society (Brooklyn, NY), and the UU Fellowship of Northern Westchester (Mount Kisco, NY). Karen is married to Michelle, a veterinary technician. The family also includes a dog and a pet snake.

Our affiliated minister: Rev. John Cooper

John works as a Board-Certified Chaplain at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City, providing spiritual care to patients, families and staff. Areas of interest in spiritual care include the use of research to demonstrate the role of spiritual care, life stories as sacred texts and end of life needs.
