Wellspring Wednesdays

Wellspring Wednesdays (formerly Monday Menus): Religious Exploration for all ages.See the brochure for details: WW Brochure Fall 2018

Monday Menus began in September 2013 with an idea that hatched when Christine Hirrill, our Adult Religious Education Coordinator, and Rev. Patty were talking about a way to increase adult religious education offerings. The idea came to them that Mondays are usually free because it is “Family Home Evening” night for faithful members of the dominant religion of this Valley. Many people are looking for something to do on Mondays!

The program is held every year, with summers off, but is now on Wednesday evenings.  We gather at 6:00 p.m.to share soup made by Liz Martin, our Director of Religious Education, who also happens to be a professional chef!  At 6:30 p.m., participants attend one of the classes offered that evening. Child care is provided for class participants. The schedule contains an ever-changing array of classes that includes spiritual topics, local geology, and DIY activities, as well as an option to play strategy and board games.

Wellspring Wednesdays runs in 8-week sessions.  The winter program begins January 10th, 2018. Watch for announcements on the home page, our FaceBook page, and in the Beacon for a schedule of the fall classes.  Christine Hirrill is, once again, coordinating the schedule for the 2017-2018 year and she welcomes your ideas.
