South Valley’s CUUPs is back!

Interested in Paganism and want to learn more? You’ll have the chance in mid-August.

The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPs) is an organization dedicated to networking Pagan-identified Unitarian Universalists (UUs), educating people about Paganism, promoting interfaith dialogue, developing Pagan liturgies and theologies, and supporting Pagan-identified UU religious professionals.

Known for offering monthly pancake breakfasts and hosting concerts and workshops by the likes of Christopher Penczak, Paul Mercer, Faerie Elaine Silver, and Celia, the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPs) was a fixture at SVUUS from about 2004 through 2017. Indeed, for group leader Kim Lane, the existence of a Pagan-identified group at South Valley was a major motivator for her to join SVUUS.

After a two-year hiatus (during which Kim has been in intensive training for her teaching job), the group has re-formed. Starting this fall, CUUPs will offer monthly Wellspring Wednesday sessions (details to follow), and it plans to reapply as a chapter in the national organization.

Although CUUPs follows an Earth-centered path, SVUUS is its church. Everyone is welcome to attend CUUPs events. Join Kim Lane, Kathleen Luck, and others for a re-introduction and planning meeting, to be held right after services on Sunday, August 11, 2019 (room TBD).
