What did Dr. King see through the bars of that window? Many great people have spent years looking at the world through prison bars. These inhospitable places have been crucibles for ideas that have given the world a shared vision of peace. What did Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., experience in the Birmingham Jail that gave birth to this letter that continues to open our eyes to the possibilities of a Promised Land? Come on Sunday and be prepared to see this letter in a new light. The South Valley Singers, led by Mary Lou Prince, will perform “The Promised Land” and Katharine Peterson will play!
